Ya know, I'm not sure why I started to write my email client a year or so ago. It was just something to do I guess, and at the time I really didn't like any of the email clients for linux. Mind you, this was long before KDE1 was really popular. I think Netscape was your main choice as far as graphical clients went.

So anyway, I wrote it, and it was okay. Not great, not bad, but it did the job. As a firm believer in eating your own dog food, I use it on a daily basis and have been pretty happy with it. No, it's not without bugs, but it's fairly stable.

Sometime in the spring I decided to rewrite it, and fix some of the mistakes I made the first time around. And repeat some, no doubt. But the Big Decision was rewriting it in java. If you read this on a semi-regular basis, you probably know I'm a big fan of Java these days. It's come a long way and all of that.

But it's been rewritten. Not all of the functionality has been reimplemented but the basics are almost done. I should have a public alpha up shortly.
