March 21, 2003 - You people are weird
Paging thru stats can be fun. Here are some of the more amusing search terms that people use to find this site.
fuck cablevision - No. No way. The only people with the decency to not force me to pay for my neighbors to watch Yankees games. You can whine and cry all you want, but it comes down to this.
Steinbrenner was greedy. He couldn't handle MSG getting commercial profits, so he made his own channel. You want it? You want to support the 200 million dollar a year juggernaut that's destroying the competitive balance in baseball? YOU do it. Don't force me to subsidize your viewing experience. Or if you do, you should all fork over a few pennies so I can watch my Phillies games on the Direct Ticket baseball package. Unlike you folks, I'm willing to PAY and don't expect everything handed to me on a platter.
colonblow - This also includes the less popular "colonblow does it work" query. You want this guy instead. He took the stuff. Altho, if you want the reverse colonblow, and potentially life threatening experience, see if you can find some "Lusty" hairgel. Eat some.
zak mckraken software download - It's not here.
how clean shit off walls - Ah. The sears thing. While I didn't clean it up myself, I heard that alot of bleach was involved. But this doesn't answer the question of why you have shit on your walls in the first place.
Today I took my cats in for dental work. This was Rusty's first time getting any dental work, and Chris's second in the last year. Somewhere on the way home it hit me that my cats have had more dental work in the last year than I have in the last decade. Needless to say, the visits and follow up visits to the vet keep me from buying cool things like toys. Inquiries about putting the cats on my health plan have so far gone unanswered.
On the development side, I haven't updated my java mail client in ages. That's because I've been working on some psion software, rather, some sync software for psion/symbian based handhelds. You can check out it's sourceforge page. I wrote the backup module, which seems to work pretty well. More improvements are coming, but the latest alpha release is the first that incorporates my code. It's also my first foray into GPL'ed code.
So far, I've gone with a "free for personal use" type license for anything I write, mostly because I don't have a clue what the GPL does. I mean, I got the broad idea, but there's too much legalese, and I've read too many slashdot discussions to have a clear idea. And the idea of "free for personal use" seems just fine I think.
I did shift work back to the mail client this week, and made some huge speed increases. For the dozen people who've used the old one, you'll be pretty freakin impressed. And searching is almost done, but I'm having a hell of a time getting the GUI finished. Panels in panels in panels all using gridbag layouts can be a very touchy thing to tame.
