Release highlights
1.22 - 04-15-09
A pretty experimental, but seemingly stable release that fixes a bug where bots with spaces in their name could cause fits. And tabbed chatting was added as well. Enjoy.
1.21 - 07-14-08
I made a fairly minor but major change to the networking code, which should make the application a bit more responsive to network traffic and yet, easier on the battery. Don't you just love situations like that? It's also possible that the buddy list got a little faster on some devices.
1.20 - 06-30-08
Updated to the newest version of J2ME Polish, which should fix a lot of issues. Also fixed a bug with the settings form.
1.19 - 03-30-08
The settings screen has gotten a facelift, and shouldn't be so craptastic anymore.
1.18 - 03-10-08
After nearly a year, we've got a new version of J2ME Polish, and a new version of Jonnychat. New features include the fix for the 'left/right after ending a conversation' issue, and a great new framed chat window. Once you see it, you'll never know how you used the old version.
When you report a problem, please send me the following information:
- What happened.
- How you made the thing that happened happen.
- What phone you are using.
- Your carrier and your data plan. I won't always know what you're using, but it's more helpful than not.
- Where I can find an emulator for your phone. This item, when combined with items one through three, really increases
the chances that the bug will be fixed.
And finally, I can't say this strongly enough... If your phone doesn't support J2ME Socket connections, this won't work. You'll know if it doesn't, because you'll get a connection error the instant you try to sign on. There is *nothing* I can do to help you with this! Adjust your phones settings.
